The Corporation des thanatologues du Québec established the Excellence Program in the fall of 2002, to honour the professionalism, local contribution and innovativeness of Quebec’s funeral professionals.
The Excellence Program recognizes the work, community service and dedication of member funeral directors and funeral homes.
- The aim of the Excellence Program is to develop a high-quality referral tool and relevant documentation to enable participants to set their own goals and provide the public and their clients with a very high standard of service.
- The Excellence Program enhances the participant’s name recognition, reinforces its credibility and strengthens the trust of the local population.
- The Excellence Program is useful for targeting a new class of clientele that is better informed and more demanding.
- The Excellence Program motivates staff members to excel at their work.
- The Excellence Program amplifies the employees’ sense of belonging and provides them with common objectives that they can share with the management of the funeral home.
